Jing's Life

Small good things

A habit I’m trying: at the end of the day, writing down a few small good things before I forget them. Not achievements — just the little moments that were quietly lovely.

Today’s list:

  • The first sip of coffee, still too hot, exactly right.
  • A stranger holding the door and actually waiting.
  • Finishing a book I’d been carrying around for weeks.
  • Rain starting the moment I got inside, not a minute sooner.

None of it is remarkable. That’s what I like about it. Most of life is made of small good things, and I’d rather notice them than wait for the big ones.
